PUBG has announced that they are adding Halloween decorations to Erangel and the ability to carry teammates and enemies in October. The game will also be implementing a new map, Miramar, which is set in a desert island.
No, we don’t mean “carry” in the sense of being able to pick up your fallen teammates, drape them over your shoulder, and transfer them to a safe location in PUBG; we mean the ability for players to pick up their downed teammates, drape them over their shoulder, and move them to a safe location. That’s one of the new features in Update 14.1, which will be available on PC on October 6th and on consoles on October 14th.
Players will not only be able to take fallen opponents in tow, but they will also be able to use them as a meat shield or a horrific version of the frying pan equipment that players now have. In the spirit of grisly fun, the update will also deck out the Erangel map at Halloween garb, including scary weather effects like fog and a distinctive moon hue that can be spotted in crucial locations around the area.
Finally, Update 14.1 will introduce the game’s 14th ranked season, as well as make changes to the Erangel and Taego maps and the map rotation in both regular and ranked modes. Players can check out the patch notes or watch the video below the break to see what’s in store, or they may join the PC test server to try things out for themselves.
