We all have the favorite groups. Whether it be your football team, your political party, your gang, your band, or your family, there are definitely some who are more popular than others. Whether it’s because they are funny, good-looking, or loud, it’s always fun to become a fan of someone else’s fandom, especially if it’s your group that’s the target of the scorn.

I used to be a part of a fraternity, and I’m not proud of it. Too many of the things that the fraternity brothers do to everyone else are completely unacceptable, and I can’t stand the way they treat women. I’m not saying that I’m perfect, but I don’t want to be a part of that, and I’m not going to be a part of that.

In a society where fraternities are supposed to create a sense of family for young men, it is disturbing to see the daily actions of some of them. In this case, a fraternity member is being investigated for going as far as being a drug addict. The brother is a member of a fraternity, but a spy with a cell phone took a picture of him with a pipe, a can of beer, and a joint in his hand. From there, he was found to be a drug user and expelled from the fraternity.

In the 1980s, the Boston Celtics were one of the most dominating NBA teams. Boston’s 1986 championship team, led by Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Robert Parish in the frontcourt, as well as guards Danny Ainge and Dennis Johnson, rates among the greatest of all time.

Injuries and aging caused the team’s disbandment after three titles and five appearances in the NBA Finals in the 1980s. Parish felt as though Bird, McHale, and the NBA had abandoned him when the Celtics players went their own ways.

The Boston Celtics became a perennial winner after acquiring Robert Parish in a trade.

Drafting Bird was only the start. Red Auerbach transformed the Celtics into a perennial contender the following season. Bird led the Celtics to a 61-21 record in his first season in 1979-80. Despite the successful season, Boston received the first selection in the 1980 NBA Draft from the Detroit Pistons. The Boston Celtics won a coin toss with the Utah Jazz to decide who would be the first selection.

Auerbach arranged a trade with the Golden State Warriors in which the No. 1 selection and another first-rounder were exchanged for Parish and Golden State’s third-round pick. As a result of the trade, the NBA’s greatest frontcourt was created.

For Boston, the transaction paid off right away. The Celtics improved on their 61-win season the previous season under head coach Bill Fitch, winning 62-20 in 1980-81. Bird and Parish were the top scorers for Boston, averaging 21.2 and 18.9 points per game, respectively. Off the bench, McHale averaged 10.0 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.

In seven games, the Celtics defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Boston Celtics defeated the Houston Rockets in six games in the NBA Finals.

Robert Parish said of Bird and McHale after his NBA career ended, “I’m not a member of their brotherhood.”

On the court, Bird, McHale, and Parish worked effectively together. Early and late in his career, McHale came off the bench. Between 1985 and 1989, he was a full-time starter for the club. The trio won three championships together, and the Celtics were the East’s most dangerous team in the 1980s.

Bird and McHale continued to play basketball after retiring in the early 1990s. They both worked in the NBA’s front office, but Parish appeared happy to retire from the game. Parish then felt the itch to return to coaching and took over as head coach of the Maryland Mustangs, a USBL expansion club. Parish intended to continue coaching when the squad disbanded after a year.

Parish said that he attempted to contact his old teammates but received no response. They were referred to as “acquaintances” by him.

In 2013, Parish told Boston.com, “In my situation, I don’t have any pals.” “I ran into Kevin at a gathering. He said that he will contact me. He never bothered to call. When Larry was with the Indiana Pacers, I phoned him twice. He didn’t pick up the phone when I called. Larry isn’t the only one. The majority of NBA clubs do not return phone calls. To obtain a call back from these companies, you’ll need a court order. I’m not a member of their sorority.’

Parish stated that he had no grudges towards anybody.

For the record, Bird texted The Boston Globe about the allegation that Parish had approached him for a job. He had a distinct take on things. “Robert never contacted me about a job opportunity. ‘Period,’ wrote Bird.

McHale replied as well, stating that he wanted to employ Parish in Minnesota, but that he “went back and checked…” At the time, we were really decreasing spots. In 2013, he informed Boston.com that he was let go from Minnesota.

Parish also suggested Danny Ainge, the Celtics’ general manager.

He replied, “You’d think Danny would’ve stood up and said something.” “I believe he has some clout inside the group. I, on the other hand, did not take it personally. ‘’I got it.”

Parish claims he never got angry at his old colleagues throughout the ordeal.

He replied, “I’ve never sat here and said they (expletive) didn’t call me back.” “Not even once. This is something I am extremely proud of.”

They’re still a part of the Fraternity, but they’re not a part of it. They’re a part of the Fraternity, but not a part of it. They’re a part of the Fraternity, but not a part of it, but….
