The Pokemon Trading Card Game Online is one of the many ways that players can enjoy the game. This article will go over 10 cards every Standard player should have in 2022 to help your deck become more competitive.
It’s 2022, and you’re sitting at the kitchen table playing your favorite format. After weathering a few years of Standard rotation, players are finally beginning to settle in. The game is faster than ever before thanks to streamlining effects like Optimal Range Magician XY132U-EN
The “pokémon tcg rotation 2022 list” is a list of 10 cards every Standard player should have in 2022. The list includes the most powerful cards from each set, and how they will be rotated out of the format.
With the 2021 Standard Rotation, the meta has shifted significantly. If you’re a frequent player, you’ll want to test out a variety of different decks, as long as they’re viable. Although we list the top 10 decks for 2022, it’s difficult to rank the strongest cards in Pokemon TCG Online.
The following is a list of ten cards that are included in the majority of the strong decks in the 2022 format, as well as cards that may be found in some of the greatest decks in Pokemon TCG Online. These cards will bring you near to finishing your next deck, and although they aren’t all useful in every top-tier deck, they do fit well in a few of them.
This list does not include any of the cards from our 2021 list, while a handful of them are still staples in Standard. Three of them are particularly easy to come by right now:
- Marnie — In 2022, Marnie, along with Professor’s Research, remains a must-have for decks. It doesn’t matter what deck you’re playing; having the flexibility to modify your hand is always advantageous. I’d also suggest buying four copies of Quick Ball, which is handy for fast catching Basic Pokemon.
- Boss’s Orders – Being able to swap your opponent’s active Pokemon is always a plus. This year, we got the Umbreon VMAX, which has a single-use Boss’s Orders built in.
- Crobat V — Now that Dedenne-GX is no longer in play, Crobat V has become a must-have for most Standard strategies. We have at least one card that allows you to draw cards or shuffle your hand every year, and Crobat V will be the same in 2022.
The finest Pokemon TCG Online Standard cards (2022)
In 2022, every Standard Pokemon TCG Online player should have the following ten cards. Each card serves a distinct function and is not in any particular order on the list. The scenario and the rest of your deck will determine how beneficial they are.
This card may only be used if one of your Pokémon was Knocked Out during your opponent’s previous turn.
Attach 1 of your Pokémon to a basic Energy card from your discard pile. If you do, take a card from your deck and place it in your hand. After that, shuffle your cards.
Computer Search is a broken card in the Expanded format. Because it’s evident that it can’t be in Standard as it is, TPC constantly coming up with new methods to offer us the opportunity to search a card, but only if specific conditions are met. Raihan has a reasonable set of requirements and can be employed in almost any deck.
Quick Ball and Evolution Incense
With the influx of Eeveelutions and Inteleons, Evolution Incense will be a must-have for most decks. It allows you to summon Evolution Pokemon from your deck, which can’t be summoned using Quick Ball.
Quick Ball is an excellent card to have in any deck since it allows you to acquire Basic Pokemon instead. Level Ball may also be added to decks with Pokemon with less than 90 HP. Early in the game, Quick Ball (or Level Ball) and Evolution Incense will speed up your Bench setup and let you to get all of your Basic Pokemon out sooner. This is particularly critical in Houndoom-powered decks, because Houndoom must be on the Bench before you can begin drawing out your Single Strike Energy cards.
This is a type-specific card, but one that may be rather valuable. Fog Crystal may be used to summon Psychic Pokemon and Energy at any time. Psychic decks have had a lot of success in the game. In the 2022 Standard format, Shadow Rider Calyrex, Calyrex-Alcremie, and Dragapult decks will fare well. It’s fantastic to see the Psychic type finally gain some respect in Pokemon TCG Online!
Hammer of Destruction
Is a card useful if it only works half the time?
Hammer of Destruction
Toss a coin. If heads, take an Energy from one of your opponent’s Pokémon and discard it.
This card has the ability to make or break games. How vexing is it to deal with Crushing Hammer? And how aggravating is it to utilize when the coin flips aren’t in your favor? Personally, I think this is a wonderful card to have in a deck when you just have a few spaces left and don’t need to add anything else.
The Way to the Top
At the moment, The Way to the Top is the most popular Stadium card in the game.
Path to the Peak
There are no Abilities for Pokémon with a Rule Box in play (both yours and your opponent’s). (Rule Boxes may be found in Pokémon V, Pokémon-GX, and other games.)
This includes Pokemon in your or your opponent’s hand, as well as Crobat V, which must be brought into play to utilize its ability. This will also be beneficial in Evolving Skies decks to fight Umbreon VMAX.
The four major Single Strike cards are as follows:
In the year 2022, Single Strike is the way to go, and there are cards that only function on Single Strike Pokemon. If you’re using a Single Strike deck, you’ll need the following four cards:
- Single Strike Energy may offer Darkness or Fighting Energy, as well as a +20 boost (but only one at a time). This stacks with any additional Single Strike Energy you have, rendering Single Strike attackers completely useless.
- Single Strike Energy from your discard pile may be recycled into your deck using Urn of Vitality. It’s ideal for dealing with those pesky Crushing Hammers.
- Tower of Darkness allows you to draw two cards every turn in exchange for discarding one Single Strike card.
- By itself, the Scorn Scroll with a Single Strike Tool Card gives you an additional attack:
Single Strike Scroll of Scorn
The attack on this card may be used by the Single Strike Pokémon to whom it is tied. (To use this attack, you’ll still need the required Energy.)
[F] Angry Fury 10+ For each damage counter on this Pokémon, this attack does 10 additional damage.
The Single Strike Scroll of Scorn is an excellent attachment for any Single Strike Pokemon, particularly Urshifu VMAX, who has a counter in Calyrex. Urshifu also has a lot of HP, which means the more damage it absorbs, the more damage it can deal. The Scroll also only needs one Energy attachment and has a damage output of over 250, which no other Pokemon in the game can match.

Inteleon’s ability allows you to randomly choose Trainer cards. When used with Scoop Up, you may collect many Trainers in a single round.
Ability – Dodgy Business You may search your deck for up to 2 Trainer cards, reveal them, and put them into your hand when you play this Pokémon from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon during your turn. After that, shuffle your cards.
Trainer Cards keep the deck linked, therefore this is a huge benefit to have. Trainer cards make it simple to get Supporter and Pokemon cards, which is why Inteleon has rapidly become a staple in some of the game’s top decks. It also helps that it is a 1-Prizer and possesses a Colorless Energy attack. The second Inteleon isn’t as good as the first, but having a single copy to do 20 damage to any of your opponent’s Pokemon is always a smart idea.
